May 2025 marks one year since we reopened Roadside Store & Cafe!
From the very first day we opened our doors last spring, you’ve shown up with open hearts, hungry appetites, and kind words. We’ve shared countless cups of coffee, hundreds of pancakes, and more meaningful moments than we can count. Today, we want to say: thank you.
When we reopened Roadside in 2024, we hoped it would once again become a vibrant, welcoming hub for the community — a place where folks could gather over good food and great conversations. But it’s become so much more than that.
A Place to Eat, Connect, and Learn About the Farm
Roadside is more than a cafe. It’s also a part of the therapeutic work program at the Farm, where adults recovering their mental health find purpose, community, and a life worth living. Every espresso pulled and breakfast sandwich served is part of a larger story of recovery.
Over the past year, guests of Gould Farm have helped run every aspect of Roadside — gaining skills, building confidence, and connecting with customers like you. Your support and kindness make this possible.

Hundreds of pounds of Roadside Blend coffee (thanks to No. 6 Depot!)
More than $27,000 contributed at the register towards guest activities and programming.

What’s Next?
We’re just getting started and with summer ahead of us, we’re looking forward to welcoming all of our customers – locals and visitors to the Berkshires alike!
This summer, we’ll be rolling out some fresh seasonal offerings, more local products in our marketplace, and… a brand new Roadside t-shirt! Keep an eye on our shelves (and our Instagram) to snag one before they’re gone. We are also very excited to have the return of the Gould Farm Farmer’s Market, Thursdays at Roadside starting soon.
