Laurie Heatherington, PhD

Co-Chair

Laurie Heatherington, PhD, is a longtime board member and dedicated supporter of Gould Farm, playing a key role in guiding the organization’s mission and vision. Her most significant contributions include her leadership as a director and Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, where she has helped shape Gould Farm’s future through thoughtful, long-term planning. Laurie’s commitment to Gould Farm also includes her involvement in an ongoing 25-year outcomes study, a groundbreaking effort to assess the long-term impact of the Farm’s therapeutic community model on guests' mental health and overall well-being. Her research expertise lies in clinical psychology, particularly in family therapy, therapeutic alliances, and mental health interventions in diverse community settings. With a focus on both domestic and global mental health, her scholarly work has produced numerous influential publications, including recent studies on psychotherapy preferences, systemic therapy, and mental health outcomes in Burundi. She is the Past President of the North American Society for Psychotherapy Research. Throughout her career, Laurie has demonstrated a deep commitment to outcomes evaluation, striving to understand and improve the effectiveness of mental health treatments in both traditional clinical settings and community-based programs like Gould Farm. Her contributions to the field of psychology, paired with her dedication to fostering meaningful, data-driven mental health care, make her an invaluable asset to Gould Farm’s leadership team. As Co-Chair, Laurie continues to be instrumental in advancing the Farm’s mission of hope, healing, and transformation.

Kim Bradley

Co-Chair

Kim has served as a Director of Gould Farm since mid-2015 and participates in the Building and Grounds and Finance committees. Starting in October 2024, Kim will also serve as co-chair of the Board. A native of Tucson, Arizona, Kim served in Cameroon as a Peace Corps volunteer and consulted with USAID on a Cameroon project following his undergraduate studies. After returning to the U.S. for graduate school, Kim’s career has been primarily overseas, including 15 years in Europe as a professional in Goldman Sach’s Real Estate Principal Investments and Realty Management divisions. Kim has also served as an executive at GE Capital for seven years in the United States and Europe and worked in commercial banking for several years. Since leaving corporate life, Kim’s international activities have included serving as an Independent Director of the BGEO Group PLC and Georgia Capital PLC, public companies located in Tbilisi, Georgia. Kim holds an MA in International Affairs from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and an undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Arizona. Kim and his wife have two adult daughters and live in Tyringham.

Phil Morrison, MBA

Treasurer

A native of Maine, Phil has a long history with Gould Farm, arriving as a work leader in 1988 after serving in the Peace Corps in Senegal. Following seven years of living and working at the Farm, Phil returned to the Peace Corps, this time serving in Lesotho. After a four-year period when he was an investment advisor, Phil returned to school, earning his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, and started a new career in non-profit fiscal management, first in theater, healthcare, and then higher education. Since 2017 Phil has served as the Director of Finance & Administration at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, where he manages the Business Office, Human Resources, Physical Plant, Information Technology, Dining Services, and the Kilpatrick Athletic Center. When he is not at work, Phil enjoys spending time with his grown children and puttering around on his small farm in neighboring Tyringham.
