Renee Schaaf (she/her)

Renee studied psychology at Northwestern University and brings a long history of people-centered work to her role at Gould Farm. Her background includes customer service, science education as a facilitator at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, and organizing work focused on food systems justice, consumer rights, and environmental protections. She has also enjoyed working in food service in Chicago, where she helped create a community space centered on good food and connection.

Originally from the Midwest, Renee has lived in Northwest Missouri and Chicago, and brings a deep reverence for nature to her work and daily life. She enjoys playing piano and values spaces that support reflection, creativity, and care. She first learned about Gould Farm through a book and was drawn to its emphasis on shared daily life, meaningful work, and a community culture rooted in dignity, mutual respect, and belonging.
