Louise Ranck (she/her)

Louise brings a rich and varied background to Gould Farm, holding a BA in Music from Goshen College, a K-12 teaching certificate from Millersville State College, and a Master of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary. Her early career was rooted in music education, teaching both high school choral/theory and elementary classroom music. She later served as an assistant manager and Fair Trade educator at Ten Thousand Villages in Ephrata, PA, while also practicing as a massage therapist and facilitating community drumming events. After first volunteering at the Farm in 2021, Louise worked at an independent bookstore in Lititz, PA, before returning to Gould Farm in 2023.

Today, as a part-time Residential Advisor, Louise combines her background in event facilitation and music with a deep passion for ecological beauty, particularly in designing, planting, and teaching others about native plant gardens across the property.

Louise’s connection to Gould Farm began with the side-by-side work and shared rhythms of community meals and activities during her volunteer time. Now, she treasures the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with guests and contribute directly to the physical landscape. For Louise, living and working in community brings both growth and connection, finding deep reward in navigating both the challenges and delights of shared life.
