Joachim Kearns (he/him)

Assistant Manager of Roadside Store and Cafe

Joachim became a part of the Farm community in January 2024, drawn by a deep-rooted interest in fostering connections within a community. His journey in the food industry, while rewarding, had left him looking for something different and unique, not defined by the pursuit of profitability. The prospect of aligning his work in food with the mission of the Farm resonated deeply with him.

Reflecting on his experience at the Farm so far, Joachim emphasizes the remarkable support system that permeates every aspect of our environment. While challenges inevitably arise in any workplace, he finds solace in the collective effort and genuine care that defines the Farm culture.

Prior to joining Gould Farm, Joachim was the Assistant Director of Operations at Berkshire Mountain Bakery in Housatonic, Massachusetts and Manager at Barney Greengrass in Manhattan, accumulating well over a decade of experience in the food industry. His diverse background also includes a stint as a touring musician in his twenties, showcasing his musical talents on the guitar, as well as ventures into marketing and event production.
