Jo Venditelli (they/them)

Jo began their work with Gould Farm’s Boston Area Program (Fellside) as a graduate student intern from Harvard Divinity School. During this time, they developed a deep appreciation for the community’s strong sense of belonging and its holistic approach to mental health recovery. Following their internship, Jo joined the team as a case manager, became Assistant Program Director, and now serves as Program Director for Fellside.

Prior to their work at Fellside, Jo worked with children and adolescents with disabilities and neurodivergence to foster independence and building life skills. Their academic background in queer and disability studies drew them towards justice-oriented approaches – an ongoing commitment that aligns with the values of Gould Farm.

Jo’s work is also shaped by their experience as a family partner for a loved one with mental illness. This perspective fueled their dedication to ensuring that program participants and their families feel respected and supported in their recovery journeys.

As they have continued to step into leadership with Gould Farm, their vocational calling has crystallized. They have developed a better understanding of what holistic care can look like, and how our program participants can thrive when they have the best access and supports. Jo especially appreciates being a part of creating spaces and opportunities that empower both our program participants and staff, fostering a community where everyone can grow.
