Visiting Artist Program

We are thrilled to announce our Visiting Artist program, a new program for Summer 2021, support by a grant awarded by Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s Arts Building Community initiative with funding from the Barr Foundation. Through this program, Gould Farm will host artists on-site for two weeks. While here, the artist will provide art workshops for the Farm’s guests (our program participants).

We seek to work with Berkshire cultural organizations and/or artists who focus on the healing power of creating art. We are open to a variety of artistic activities, such as music, painting, theater, writing, or dance. The Farm’s Visiting Artist Committee will work with each artist to design their program offerings to maximize participation and therapeutic community benefit. At a minimum, each series will include 7-10 sessions/activities, held during afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Our goal is that the Visiting Artist Program will aid our guests in their journey to recovery, provide an opportunity for self-discovery, and enhance their overall experience in our program.
