Pauline Banducci, CPRP, LSW – Transition Counselor

Pauline has been the Transition Counselor at Gould Farm since 2006, and enjoys the daily surprises of her job. She holds a certification as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) and has a Bachelor of Science from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. Pauline has finished extensive coursework in Job Development/Job Retention with Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation; Hearing Voices with USPRA; Cognitive Remediation with Columbia University; and Dialogic-Network Practice with Mary Olsen PhD.

Watching individuals take pride in themselves, master significant steps in their recovery goals, and then look with excitement towards their future gives Pauline passion for her work. She meets with guests in transition to assess cognitive and transferrable work skills. With these individuals, Pauline uses a series of weekly exercises exploring a person’s former goals/dreams, and finding ways to incorporate those into current work reality. She also teaches a 6-week group on interviewing skills and leads a weekly smoking cessation group.

Pauline lives at the Farm with her husband, Rick, who volunteers with the Forestry & Grounds team each winter. They have two adult children, one of which happens to be on the autistic spectrum; both daughters are happily employed in their chosen careers and visit the Farm on holidays.

Pauline believes that the natural environment with over 15 beautifully forested trails, is one of the Farm’s principle healing components.
