Volunteer Leadership Program

Each  year Gould Farm recruits 12 volunteers who typically come to the Farm for one year and work in almost every area of the Farm community. Individuals can apply directly though some are referred to us by a diverse group of organizations and church groups, including the Brethren Volunteer Service and Action Reconciliation Service for Peace. The Farm provides a nominal stipend, room and board, health insurance, and Social Security and Medicare benefits. The energy, vitality and commitment of Gould Farm volunteers provide an invaluable contribution to our mission and to our guests.

Boston Area Program Volunteer Opportunities

Gould Farm offers a rare opportunity for volunteers from around the world to participate in the life of this special community. Experienced, mature and sensitive individuals interested in helping people with mental illness rebuild their lives may apply for positions in areas that include residential, farm, forestry, food services and administration. Flexibility is essential. Volunteer commitments are generally for a year (some summer positions may also be available).
