Staff Positions

Positions are filled by individuals with expertise in a variety of disciplines including social work, culinary arts, farming, finance, administration, marketing and human resources.  On-the-job and in-service training and supervision are part of Gould Farm’s pledge to provide a meaningful work experience for its employees.  Staff and their families are expected to make a long-term commitment to the work and lifestyle of the Farm.

The Farm provides housing on the campus as well as food and other benefits including health insurance and paid vacation.

Volunteer Opportunities

Gould Farm offers a rare opportunity for volunteers interns from around the world to participate in the life of this special community.  Experienced, mature and  sensitive individuals interested in helping people with mental illness rebuild their lives may apply for one of a variety of positions in areas that include clinical, residential, farm, forestry, food services, maintenance and administration. Flexibility is essential.  Volunteer commitments are generally for a year (some summer positions may also be available) and the Farm provides room and board, a stipend, health insurance and other benefits as well as supervision by a senior staff member.
