Residential Team Leader/Manager - Level III

 

 

Reporting to the Director of Client Services, this position is responsible for the leadership of the residential team, scheduling of individual house staffing, coordination of activities, crisis intervention and managing the overall environment and well-being of each of the guest residences. Individual must be willing to promote the values and spirit of Gould Farm, to actively participate as a member of the community and to continuously seek ways to improve, both self and function.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

·         Provide leadership to the residential team, including staffing, staff orientation, budget, scheduling staff duties and staff development.

·         Provide leadership to guest and community-wide social and recreational activities and events.

·         Supervise and performance-manage the residential team (staff and volunteers), providing goals, direction and career development.

·         Work closely with Clinical Director to develop and maintain policies and procedures regarding Guests in community.

·         Provide leadership to the maintenance of an open, trusting and cooperative environment in which guests receive support, encouragement and challenge.

·         Design and implement crises intervention protocols and train staff in such.

·         Support treatment plans for guests with particular focus on ADLs and budget treatment plans.

·         Support fire safety protocols.

·         Participate as an active member of Coordinators’ Meeting and Managers’ Meeting as the voice of Residential.

·         Provide leadership to record-keeping for Guest cash accounts and change funds.

·         Assign and participate in overnight shifts.

·         Assign and participate in driving Guests for appointments and activities.

·         Lead and participate in team, staff, planning, community and Guest House meetings.

·         Provide leadership and oversight to facilities and furnishings of Guest Houses and collaborate with Housekeeping and Maintenance upkeep of houses.

 

Qualifications:  B.S. degree or equivalent and 3-6 years experience in related human service field.  Leadership and supervisory experience are desirable.  Excellent communication, organization and administration skills are essential.  MAP certification required.
