Gathering Support
Nearly 3,000 guests have benefited from treatment at Gould Farm, gaining strength from strong clinical support, a diverse Work Program that encourages skills development and team work and a chance to become part of a sensitive and caring community. The Farm provides the equivalent of more than $750,000 in charitable care each year to guests whose family’s financial resources are limited. The amount of charitable care available can depend on the funds the Farm is able to raise through contributions.
The Farm generates income from three primary sources: guest fees; voluntary contributions through fund raising efforts; and the sale of Gould Farm products. Fund raising goals are established each year and generally account for between 10%-15% of the operating budget.
The Farm actively solicits operating funds from friends, families, foundations and individuals who have an interest in helping people who are mentally ill. Contributions provide support for the following programs and can be used to provide financial assistance to families of guests who are not able to pay full fees:

“Planned gifts” in the form of bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable remainder annuities, IRAs or other similar arrangements are important for the sustainability and future growth of the Gould Farm program.
Matching gifts from employers can often double the value of your contribution. Check with your employer to see if they provide such funds.
