Directions to Gould Farm
From Points East or North of the Berkshires:
Take Interstate 90 to Exit 2 (Lee/Lenox). At the lights after the tollbooth, take a left on to Rte 20. Go under the bridge and take a right onto Rte 102 (toward Stockbridge) and then an immediate left onto a small road marked for Tyringham and Monterey. Follow this road through Tyringham Center and continue for about 1.5 miles. Look for a sign on your right marked Monterey and Gould Farm (6.5 miles). Turn right onto this road and follow the road up over the mountain to the very end (there will be a stop sign). This is the center of Monterey and you’re facing Rte. 23. Turn right onto Rte. 23 and follow the road for 1.5 miles. Take a left onto Curtis Road and follow the directions below marked Once at Gould Farm.
Alternatively,
Take Interstate 90 to Exit 2. At the lights after the toll booth turn left onto Rte 20. Turn right onto Rte. 102 and go to Stockbridge. At the Red Lion Inn turn left onto Rte 7 South into Great Barrington. Go past the Price Chopper shopping center on the left, pass Friendly’s Restaurant, also on the left and at the next traffic light take a left on to Rte. 23 East. Take Rte. 23 about 6 miles. You will pass the Butternut Basin Ski area on the right. Continue until you see the Roadside Store on the left. Just past the Roadside Store you’ll come to Curtis Road on the right. Tur onto Curtis Road and follow the directions below marked Once at Gould Farm.
From Connecticut:
Take Rte. 8N to 23W (it’s a left-hand turn, and there will be many twists and turns on Rte 23). Once you get into the center of Monterey, follow the road for 1.5 miles. Take a left onto Curtis Road and follow the directions below marked Once at Gould Farm.
Alternatively,
Take Rte. 44 West to Rte 7 North to Great Barrington. Go through the town of Great Barrington until you come to a traffic light with a big iron bridge on the right. Take a right at this light and go over the bridge. You will still be on Rte 7. At the next traffic light (there’s a gas station there) you will turn right onto Rte. 23 East. Follow the road for about 6 miles. You will pass the Butternut Basin Ski area on the right. Keep on Rte 23 and you will see the Roadside Store on the left. Just past the Roadside Store, you will take a right onto Curtis Road and follow the directions below marked Once at Gould Farm.
From New York State:
Take the Taconic Parkway to Rte 23 East (in Craryville, NY or Hudson, NY). Follow Rte 23 into Great Barrington. Go through the city of Great Barrington until you come to a traffic light with a big iron bridge on the right. Take a right at this light and go over the bridge. You will still be on Rte 7. At the next traffic light you will take a right onto Rte. 23 East. Follow the road for about 6 miles. You will pass the Butternut Basin Ski area on the right. Keep on Rte 23 and you will see the Roadside Store on the left. Just past the Roadside Store you will take a right onto Curtis Road and follow the directions below marked Once at Gould Farm.
Once at Gould Farm.
Take Curtis Road to the stop sign and turn left onto Gould Road. You will pass our barns and gardens and go up over a hill, passing houses on the left and right. Keep going straight past a blue house on the left and two more white houses on the right. Continue to the large, white farmhouse, called the Main House at 100 Gould Road. Follow the signs for Visitor Parking at the rear of the house and come in through the door marked Entrance. Our “front office” will be on your right.
